A look at the work of handwriting analyst Michelle Dresbold
Causing quite a stir in the news is the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump. Also causing a stir in the media is his handwriting style which has been likened to a seismographic reading. Tracey Trussell, of the British Institute of Graphologists said that, “His signature transmits wild ambition, dynamism, bravery and fearlessness.” In 2015, Michelle Dresbold thought his handwriting echoed similar sentiments; a fellow who is “feeling angry, determined, fearful, competitive or challenged”.
Michelle Dresbold has been dubbed The Sherlock Holmes of Handwriting due to her excellent record in analysing graphology. Also billed as The Handwriting Doctor, she specialises in the graphology of suspects in civil and criminal court cases. She has also analysed the handwriting of celebrities and has featured on many documentaries.
Co-written with James Kwalwasser, she wrote Sex, Lies, and Handwriting, a book on the secrets of your handwriting. She is the only civilian to have been invited to the US Secret Service’s Advanced Document Examination training programme. Her handwriting analysis column has been syndicated in several US newspapers.
Her website has a number of articles with reference to her professional work, speaking tours, and media coverage. The web address is www.michelledresbold.com.
